Sunday September 5: Still in Northport - But Leaving Tomorrow AM

We'll spend our 4th and hopefully last night in Northport tonight. Today the rains have finally moved on but not the winds. It's really a pretty day though. Steve met one of the guys yesterday in the bathroom and his comment was that he thought he slept through September! Really chilly, windy, rainy all day yesterday. So Steve was busy sanding the rest of the cabin floor with the plan to put a couple of coats of finish on today. It's actually looking much better than I thought it would. A couple more coats of polyurethane and it should be good to go for another 30 years :-) The portable satellite dish is working very well and even though we move at the dock it manages to still keep the signal most of the time. My new favorite show is "I Shouldn't Be Alive" - but I don't seem to find it on again so we may be watching "Until Debt Do Us Part" which is always fun. We were worried the wind would blow the dish off of the table so we taped it down. The boat neighbors came over and we played BlockUs - not too much thinking needed so that was good! Peter and Cheryl (on the sailboat Surona) don't have a heater so they were especially glad to spend the evening.
