July 10: 43rd Anniversary - Really??

Talk about how quickly time passes. It hardly seems possible.

The years have been great and we have been very fortunate to have two wonderful daughters and the world's best son-in-law.

There is only one anniversary that I am certain we did not celebrate on a boat: our first. It was dinner out at the Brown Derby in Ontario, OH. I recall listening to Bad, Bad Leroy Brown and other songs of that era. We returned to the farm and celebrated with my parents by eating the top layer of our wedding cake - is that normal? I think so.

Anyway, we don't have any wedding cake left but Steve did find some Double Chocolate Muffin mix that was truly a treat!!

A great celebration :-)

Tomorrow we head back to Stoney Lake to spend the night at Horseshoe Island. The weather is supposed to be very nice - sunny, warm and almost no wind.

I think Steve has fishing on his mind :-)

  1. Happy anniversary! We are celebrating our 33rd today. I hope you have a wonderful summer in Canada. We are home in Texas playing with grandwonders and having a great time, but missing the water and the boat. There will be time for that later in the year and next winter.

Hope we see you in Marathon.
