Reached Fulton about 12:30 so we headed out on the bikes. There was a Wal-Mart about a mile and a half and Steve wanted to get more pairs of the shorts he found there while in Cleveland. Luckily they had a couple of pairs! We also needed more glue sticks for my hot glue gun so when I'm ready to fit the canvas, I have what I need. The lock and dam were pretty impressive - larger and easier to see than most of the ones on the Erie Canal. And of course, there was a stop at Dunkin Donuts! I have been seeing them for a long time and finally decided it was time for one :-) Boston Creme - the best!
The town docks here are really nice. A bit cramped for maneuvering but we managed to back in for easier access to the dock. In the first picture, we're standing in a pavilion that overlooks the marina. Cost? Nothing! Free dock and power - what a bargain. And Steve has already scouted a place for breakfast. In the meantime, he scrubbed the deck (I was in charge of rinsing with the hose - sweet job if you can get it). The idea is to get it painted tomorrow morning and hang around until it is dry enough to walk on. We will travel only 12 miles again tomorrow so even if it takes most of the day, it should be fine. Last major job before we really being traveling again. That's it for now - headed up to the flybridge to listen to the band playing in the pavilion behind us. No Anne Murray (sadly) but music that reminds me of the kids days in Jazz Band.
