We weren't quite sure what to do yesterday morning or today as we didn't need to check to see if it was windy, wavy or rainy! So we went to breakfast. Place called the Yolk which is downtown and a very short bike ride from the marina. Crepes were on the menu so we both went for them. Good but not as good as the 101 Diner in Encinitas of course :-)
Yesterday morning was spent with a couple of work tasks. The generator was sounding quite strange and after the incident with the overfull oil (which gets air whipped up in the oil and it turns gray) we were hopeful that the oil change would do it and that we wouldn't need any repairs. Fortunately, it was running fine - just needed a pulley tightened (the set screw was loosening) and a slight repair to the flywheel cover. Minor until someone (I won't mention who) dropped the set screw into the bilge. I really wonder where all of the stuff we drop down there goes! No amount of fishing around with the magnet produced the one-of-a-kind set screw so Steve finally fashioned one from a bolt and the dremel. Good to go :-). Also finally took the time to run the cables for the dish through the flybridge to the cabin so there aren't cables all over the place every time I want to watch TV.
We also moved to the marina by the museums and found Surona and Selah still in town. It was good to catch up with them! We returned to the Yolk for breakfast today where Linda ordered a cinnamon roll and was kind enough to share it with the group. Reminded me of chelsea rolls in Bobcaygeon - it was that good!
Rode our bikes near Navy Pier again and across the river/lock through which we will be traveling in the next day or two. We're awaiting the return of Bethany so we can get together. Steve is off on the Metra to take the windlass to the marina that will either fix or repair it. Probably will have to have it shipped to us along the way if they can't get it done by tomorrow.
