We pulled anchor and moved on from Serenity Island this morning. The winds had died to almost zero last night so it was a very quiet night - no waves slapping on the boat.
Only one sailboat had joined us last night - kind of surprised us as this is one of the nicest places to anchor for a 50 mile radius.
Ok by us though.
We have learned a thing or two though about anchoring near these islands. First, never go near an island that appears to be occupied by pirates.
And second, watch out for the sand bars that seem to be guarding at least one end of these islands. Pretty easy to see when the sun is out and shining brightly!

The larger ones have quite a bit of growth on them - some of the smaller are nothing than a bump off to the side of the waterway.
I saw a lot of this from the flybridge again today :-) We have seem more dolphins that ever before along this route. Not sure if it's the time of year or what.

I didn't get away with it but at least I tried :-)
The mega mansions began to appear as we neared the more populated area north of Vero Beach.
We've never stopped here before - just bad timing I guess. Everyone says we're really missing a nice stop. So now we'll find out as we'll stay for a week!
More on Vero Beach later ...
