In the meantime, we had the boat pulled as the bottom needed repainted. The anti-fouling paint lasts about a year so it was time. As you can see, sanding brought out all of the different colors of paint used in the past! By using different colors each time, it's very easy to see any spots where the paint is wearing. Wow - what a difference it makes!
Part of the day was spent trying to catch back up to Eastern time but the rest was back to work. With the boat out of the water, we were able to loosen up one of the thru hull fittings that was getting hard to turn. Also changed the antifreeze which needed done because of the overheated engine a while back. Both jobs were completed in about 3 hours.
Boat goes back into the water first thing Wednesday - not sure when we are headed back north, but Thursday looks good for currents and tides!
