It's been a slow few days since we returned from Rocky Gap. The wonderful fall days went offshore and were replaced with overcast, windy, cold and rainy days/nights. We made a few trips out to pass the time as it just wasn't nice enough to even be out. Sailor Dave was in search of some good rum and of course Steve just couldn't pass up the fun rum bottle with a straw hat. Not sure who is going to drink this rum but I guess if desperation sets in .....
The weather did clear up yesterday so we helped Dave get his dinghy blown up and put together. He needs a foot pump like we use for our kayaks - not too hard to find. It was time to change the generator oil and filter so it was a good day to do that also. Getting ready to leave ....
A couple of Navy boats were in the harbor yesterday. I thought the guy in the front was looking pretty bad until I decided it was just a dummy! The marina pulled two of these boats out - not sure why though.
Not much else happening. The Baltimore Marathon was yesterday (really tied up traffic downtown) and the Russian Festival is this weekend also. Sounds like we'll check that out since the Browns game isn't until 4 pm.
Future plans: looks like the weather will be good this coming weekend to head south if Steve's physical therapy is far enough along, off we go. Three or four travel days to Norfolk, VA and the start of the Intercoastal Waterway!
