Wednesday November 3: Last Night at Grand Harbor - Get Us South!!

It was rainy and cold all day yesterday and today so we stayed put at Grand Harbor. The nice thing about not having a strict timeline is that when the weather is really not very nice we can just sit for a day. Here's a couple of pictures of the river that I took on Monday. Now that was a nice day! The bridge is the Natchez Trace Parkway bridge. This 450 mile parkway is part of the National Park System and closely follows the route of the historic Natchez Trace. It began as an Indian trail and extended from Natchez to Jackson, MS then northeastward to Nashville. Peter and Cheryl from Surona ended up arriving at Grand Harbor also on Monday night so it nice being able to spend a couple of days with them. They left this morning for Midland Ontario and will return in January to pick up and continue south on Surona at that time. Brrrrr.. hope they bring the warm clothes :-) We may be able to hook up again once we are in Florida. Steve worked hard again today: laundry, finding the oil/diesel leak in the generator. I made more progress on The Legend of Zelda - Twilight Princess :-) Tomorrow we're off early to see what this Tenn-Tom Waterway is like. We'll be back in tow country in a narrow river/canal so it will prove to be interesting. I have to say I did not miss the tows on the upper Tennessee - it was nice as we saw very few of them.
